So, you’re in your kitchen with your fresh salmom, a bunch of different utenils and condiments. What do you do next? You have no idea on what to do or where to start. You look at the microwave but then turn away in disgust. There are many ways to prepare salmon for consumption; and when you stand in front of your oven, the thought of baking it might come to mind. What if I Broil the salmon? Can you even fry fish?! You are getting started to dizzy and are about to collapse. Wait! There are many online resources that can solve this situation To learn how to cook fish many different ways, go to http://www.bassonhook.com/fishforfood/fishcookingtechniques.html.

You may also want to use different zests to give your salmon that extra kick. Squeeze a lemon or two while frying your salmon to give it that punch. Breaded salmon dipped in a cream sauce, created with any ingredient your personal taste suggests, is a delicious way to make your meal interesting and appealing. Oh my gosh! I NEVER liked baked salmon recipe before – but this was SO good!! I doubled the garlic, halved the olive oil, and used 1 tsp dried parsley. Though the cooking might have caused the juice to evaporate, I was pleasantly surprised to find a wonderful, tasty sauce after the salmon had cooked for 45 minutes.

It was a tad salty (and I love salty food!), so I might decrease the salt to 3/4 tsp next time. I will definitely make this over and over again – I’m proud of myself for actually loving a salmon dish! (NOTE: I do this with breast of chicken, as well, and the results are phenomenal!) I love to serve it over brown rice…the juice gives the rice a nice flavor.) With the 4th of July approaching, many of us are planning a traditional barbecue to celebrate with hot food without heating up the kitchen.

Burgers, hot dogs, steaks and chicken are the foods we usually think of when we contemplate firing up the charcoal; but for a wonderful change of pace, why not consider grilled salmon recipes? Salmon lends itself wonderfully to grilling because it is a compact, firm-fleshed fish which holds up on the barbecue grill. Your steak or fillet of fish will be a perfect dish after you have cooked it over a high fire until it flakes easily when you poke it with a knife. You may brush lightly with lemon juice and melted butter near the end of the cooking if you wish.

A few leaves of fresh rosemary for the brush and your feast will fill the eyes and breath of all with its looks and aroma. For a complete dinner, try this delicious salmon recipe. Add grilled skewers of fresh vegetables and potatoes and you’re ready to eat!

If you were to ask a group of 100 people for their definition of a delicious dessert recipe, you’d probably get very few definitions and plenty of specific dessert names. You may say “The most delicious dessert in the world is chocolate cheesecake!” Then you’ve got lemon meringue pie, apple pie, ice cream cakes, carrot cake with cream cheese frosting … oh, truly, you could write a small dictionary of delicious dessert recipes! ‘Dictionary of the Delicious Dessert’ has a nice ring.

Every family has a little stash of recipes, handed down from generation to generation. Every family claims there’s nothing quite like their own secret family treasure, particularly when it comes to tasty dessert recipes. It may well be that just a teaspoon of this or that ingredient can make that lemon meringue pie recipe unique and your family just wouldn’t have it any other way.

My mother had her own little stash of brilliant dessert recipe cards, which she kept for a long time and most were handed down from her mom and aunts. The three of my favorite and most delicious dessert recipes are still with me. First is the fresh strawberry pie, a summer delight. Second is my grandmother’s secret lemon meringue pie. And the third is grandma’s famous Norwegian butter cookies.

Now these are the benchmarks against which I measure any other dessert. Although these delicious dessert recipes must be duplicated – almost – in millions of other households, even Marie Callendar’s pies don’t measure up to those pies. As for my Grandma’s cookies, well, they are like a little visit to Heaven on a plate.

The fresh strawberry pie had me closing my eyes, savoring the sweet delights of a mouthful of fresh strawberries, whipped cream and a flaky pastry I have yet to master. When it was strawberry season, my Grandma and Mom and all of us kids would pile into Grandma’s car and drive from San Francisco to Gilroy to buy strawberries from the farm stand vendors.

Maybe what made that delicious dessert recipe an all-time favorite, to this day, is the fact that it took all day to procure the ingredients, or maybe it was the intoxicatingly fresh smell of thousands of fresh strawberries.

The lemon meringue pie made with fresh lemon and lemon zest is very lemony. The graham cracker crust added to its perfection.

As for those Norwegian butter cookies, there must be some Norwegian secret. No matter how I try to duplicate the plain butter cookie, with its ever so delicately browned edges, I cannot. I think you must have to be born in Norway or something. (She produced a similarly delicate and perfect pancake.)

Let’s hear your vote for the incomparably delicious dessert recipe or you can submit your own mouth-watering recipe. There should be a lot out there waiting to be exposed.

Article by Van T, you can learn more about him at his profile

My boyfriend’s mother is really fond of shrimp. Of course I want to impress her, because we are hopefully getting engaged soon. I’ll have to wait longer because he hasn’t popped the question after I have been asking him to do so. However, his family is from Louisiana. While growing up and living here in Missouri, I haven’t had any chances to cook shrimp.

I’m not really sure what shrimp tastes like, so I’m not sure what sort of stuff I can cook it with. Can I use shrimp like chicken or lamb? Could I just boil the shrimp and put them on the side of the plate with some spinach?

The shrimp appearing in magazines is clean, however the shrimp available at the market has bad appearance due to some things which look like tail to me.
In addition I see something sticking out, which I assume are legs. Clearly I have no idea how to cook or prepare shrimp. Does anybody have a quick and easy shrimp recipe I could use? The more details, the better! Thanks in advance! There are many favorite times you remember with your child. With my younger son, there are a lot to choose from. But for awhile his favorite was Applebees.

He enjoyed going there and ordered the same item in the beginning. After a few days, his tastes improved and he began to order other items. One of our big treats in the summer was to go at lunchtime and eat lunch at the bar. I guess it made him feel more grown up. Being older I had to watch what I was eating here. I found a great favorite in their luncheon shrimps salad. It was a nice size portion and somewhat healthy. The other nice thing they had at the bar was some games, like Trivial pursuit, to pass the time. We would play and often talk about the questions and answers.

So there we sat like two friends at a bar talking Both of us enjoying the conversation and the food. I hope this continues. When can you serve shrimp pasta? When is it a good time to serve shrimp pasta?

1.You want to serve pasta as a frugal meal and want to spice it up with a healthy, high quality ingredient ‘ shrimp.

2.Your guests are vegetarians who do eat fish and shellfish, and thus can eat shrimp in place of meatballs. 3. A good way to use up those shrimp cocktail leftovers is to add them to a pasta dish or vegetable stir fry.

4.You have a tuna pasta recipe but are tired of tuna ‘ substitute shrimp.

5.You have a Louisiana style pasta recipe and dont have pork ‘ use shrimp as an acceptable and authentic substitution.

6.The pasta dish is an eastern flavor and you do not have Mahi-Mahi or other Pacific ocean fish to use. Use shrimp as an acceptable and authentic substitution. Note: Do not serve shrimp pasta to anyone who is Jewish, Muslim, vegan due to their religious and ethical beliefs. Never serve shrimp to someone who has an allergy to shellfish.

There is a savory flavor of fried fish along with the crunch of breading on some kind of sliver of fish meat. Do you know what I am talking about? There are a few things that could be like this, but the one and only that stands out in my mind is the taste of fried shrimp recipes. A shrimp is not really like fish, I used to hate any form of shrimp at all, but then I tried deep fried shrimp and loved it. At first I liked it better with ketchup on them, but then as I became accustomed to the flavor of the shrimp I like them more dipping them in cocktail sauce.

Now that I developed a liking for shrimp, I have taken to trying out shrimp cooked in a variety of ways. Among my favorites have to be still deep fried shrimp, fried shrimp with butter, or even grilled shrimp has a great taste to it, along with some side dishes this could make a great meal or even as a party snack. Grilled scallop is an appetizer recipe. The main ingredients used for the grilled scallop are 1/2 pound sea scallop, butter choped onion, fresh lemon juice, cloves garlic chopped and sault. Not only using these ingredients ,we can prepare grilled scallop in some atherways. It can be prepared by using diffrent ingredients.

It can be prepared by using sweet green pepper, sweet red pepper and orange juice.Unsalted butter is used for this kind of grilled scallop. The preperation strats with making a charcoal. The procedure is little bit diffrent from the above grilled scallops. The result is that we can enjoy scallops in diffrent taste. Another way to make grilled scallop is by using papaya salsa. It needs bamboo skewers,1 ripe papaya, lime juice ,pepper, red onion chopped, minced clove garlic, vegetable oil and of course the sea scallops. This dish can be served with salsa on the side. There are many other types of sea scallop recipes like scallop with lime and sesame, grilled shrimp, using cilantro sauce etc.

One of the most tasty food is fish food items. Not only tasty fish food items are higly healthy food item.We can have a look at different recipes with fish which will make you hungry at anytime. One of them is Roasted king fish. Its taste is something very delicious.Have you heard about fish molly? If your answer is no,then you missed one of the great taste. fish molly is the fish curry in coconut milk.It is one of the widely used fish recipes.Among the fish food items most of the people like to eat crabs. The sea crab recipe is very tasty and it can be eaten with any kind of food.Spicy baby crab is another fish recipes. This recipe may need 10 baby crabs to prepare which are cleaned and washed.

No doubt that prawm is another tasty fish. Even the simple curry has great taste. This prawm fish recipe needs at least 200gms prawns. The fish recipes include cutlets. We can tasty and delicious fish cutlets. The cutlet needs eggs also.

Though many differences exist among various ages, cultures and locations, cooking remains a common passion.
Almost every area has its original style of cooking, and of course, each area has a method of instructing people how to cook.
But what is common among all places with their cooking traditions is that people want to make full use of the training they get about cooking.
What is cooking, after all, if not a practical thing that could actually help people?
The following are a few methods of maximizing your cooking instruction.
Many people perfer seafood recipes for cooking. But let’s start with chicken for now.
1. Don’t be absent from any cooking lessons. Good sense lets you know that if you don’t come to all of the cooking classes;
you’ll miss out on the lessons covered for that day.
It’s very useful to know how to cook and it makes you appreciate marvelously prepared food so much more.
This is unlike other things which you can just look at the information and understand it easily.
When you are cooking, you need to apply all your senses or you will miss out on the experience.
Take your cooking abilities to a new level! In order to gain a clear understanding of the cooking art you need to have an awareness of what processes are taking place.

Although you should not only follow recipes, you need to have them memorized.
What you should do even more is understand what is happening when you are following the directions given in a recipe.
Know why you have to add salt in the end and not during cooking or why you should stir constantly instead of occasionally.
To cook well, you must master every step.
3. Practice what you have learned. People will keep on saying that practice makes perfect and they are right.
Cooking is more of a skill than a talent and all skills need to be practiced to be mastered.

Try out what you have learned every time you get the chance.
Not only will this help you sharpen your cooking skills, this will also help you remember the things you have learned.
Feed People. If you’re not going to feed anyone, there’s no sense in taking a culinary class.
Food is to be enjoyed and you should be able to share the gastronomic masterpieces you have created with people who will actually eat and appreciate them.
Getting the most out of your cooking training is easy.
You just have to continue to cook and continue to let people eat your food, then it won’t be long before you will be the master chef you always fantasized about.

Most people would just use a pinch of salt because they think that is enough to flavor the soup.
However, chefs can use better alternatives for improving the taste of soup, without using excessive salt.
First and foremost, reflect on the ingredients of the soup. Most of the time, veggies, herbs and bones are starting base for a good carab or asian fish soup.
If you want to reduce or increase the flavor of the soup – especially soup with crabs, you have to taste it between stirring.

Its up to you really.
Feel free to reduce/increase the amount of soup according to your taste.
If you have finished preparing the soup but the flavor is lacking something, try using wine, lime juice or lemon.
Try vinegar to give it a boost too. For more taste with meat, remember to saute it in a pot.
You can add more oil or butter to the pot. You can also toss in chopped garlic and onion.

Give the ingredients time to saute slowly so that all the flavors can mingle and blend.
If you are cooking stew and it tastes slightly burnt, you can remedy it by pouring a bit of milk to balance the taste out.
You can use ice cubes to get fat out of soups and stews if you simply place a few in the kettle and keep stirring.
Lest you want to serve a high cholesterol iced tea, throw the ice cubes away. Remaining fat will attach to the cold cubes.
Have a paper towel nearby so you can reach for it as you skim your way across the top.

Last of all, as you reheat the soup, make sure you are using a double boiler method.
To ensure that the soup is rich in flavor, its ingredients are best retained with hot water.
A nice idea is to server some scallops with the soup.
There was this story about a traveler who asked a man and wife if he could stay in their house for the night.
He told them he could prepare the best stew they have ever ate by using just a rock. Now this was a natural rock.
The stew he ended up cooking for the man and the wife ended up to be tasty because the homeowners provided him with the ingredients he needed to come up with the stew.

Coconut Cupcakes
This coconut cup cakes takes a bit more effort… but is worth it.

The ingredients required for these coconut cupcakes are 1 1/2 cups of all purpose flour, 1 tsp of baking powder, 1/4 tsp salt, 12 tbsp of softened, unsalted butter, 1 cup sugar, 3 large lightly beaten eggs, 1/2 cup of unsweetened canned coconut milk, 1 cup flaked unsweetened coconut and 1/2 tsp vanilla extract. You start off by preheating the oven at 350F. Take 16 medium sized muffin cups and grease them lightly. Then coat them with flour and take out the excess flour.
Beat butter with a beater at medium speed till it becomes lighter in colour. Then, add sugar steadily and beat the mixture again at medium speed to get a light texture and color. Add the lightly beaten eggs, one tablespoon at a time and beat till the mixture becomes shiny and smooth. Then add flour and coconut milk alternately and keep beating the mixture after every addition. Add the vanilla extract and stir in the coconut flakes. Fill the cup with the batter and bake for about 20 minutes. Let the pan cool for ten minutes and then remove the cupcakes from the pan.

With the price of food going up lately, everyone is looking for ways to lower their food costs. Fast food is not cheap, and it is horrible for your health. Preparing your own meals, not only is more cost effective, but, you will be able to select the healthiest foods for your meal. A good chicken recipe is the ideal answer for what to feed your hungry clan. Chicken is one of the cheapest meats available, and it is a great source of protein.

Just don’t eat the skin and it is very low in fat. Great chicken recipes run the gamut from basic fried chicken to cold chicken salad recipe, and a limitless assortment of ideas. If you ate chicken teriyaki and then chicken spaghetti another night, you can not get sick of it. Or cook a healthy roasted chicken with nutritious vegetables like carrots, potatoes and onions and celery. I’m getting hungry just thinking about it! I have a chicken casserole recipe dish that I love to make when my family is in the mood for a dish with Mexican flavor.

I boil chicken, you can use any part of the chicken that you like, I usually use a whole chicken. After it is done, you need to debone it. Cook 1 lb. of pasta in the water that you boiled your chicken until done. After that, reduce the heat to low and then add two cans of chili tomatoes. (Rotel tomatoes or another tomato something like this). Put the boiled chicken in together with this. Put in half a pound of an easily meltable American cheese (like Veveeta or an equivalent). Mushrooms and onion are also good in it, it is very flexible as to what will go good with it. You combine all this and then serve it warm.

It is excellent. I have a instructions on how to prepare a delicious chicken salad. It is very easy as you make it with canned chicken. You mix the canned chicken with mayonnaise. Just until it is the texture you would like it to be. You can then add as many sliced almonds and/or sliced grapes that you would like. I prefer to include onions, but my daughter can’t stand them. So I don’t add onions when she is home from school. It is very good both ways. In addition, you have the chance to include any additional ingredients that would suit your taste.

I think this is a very good basic chicken salad recipe. You can have it as a sandwich, and it is also good with most kinds of crackers. I have not found one yet that it is not good with.

I don’t know about you, but I am constantly surprised by requests for cookies for school events, church events, and whatever comes up. For those occasions, I keep a recipe ready for Whole Wheat Peanut Butter Cookies that not only is nutritious and tasty, but it also makes 4 dozen cookies. I can almost make these cookies blindfolded, I’ve made them so often. Once you get the hang of them, you’ll be cranking out dozens and dozens of Peanut Butter Cookies for any occasion. You’ll actually be inventing occasions to bake cookies. I think a cup of coffee, a cup of tea, or a glass of milk all could be occasions to have a Peanut Butter Cookie or two.
